Gates and Registration Opens at 8 AM

Calling all American Performance Car enthusiasts...
Musclecars, Sport cars, Pony cars, and "Big" CarsPontiacs, MOPARs, Fords, Chevrolets, Olds, Buick, etc.

Each year Jim Wangers, the "Godfather of the GTO" opens his Oceanside Warehouse—the Wangers' Collection to the loyal Pontiac public while also hosting an outstanding Show 'n Shine car show. This year's show, the 2009 Tour de Wangers Show 'n Go Weekend will be held October 17-18, 2009! Saturday will be an open house show 'n shine at the Wangers' Collection (with lunch served to all registrants). Sunday we will all go up to the Barona 1/8 Mile Dragstrip for some good ol' Smokin of the Hides racing action.

As the American Automobile Industry suffers bankruptcies and the loss of iconic makes like our beloved Pontiac, Jim Wangers thought it right for all automotive enthusiasts to rally together in celebration of American Performance; past and present.

Most recognized for his undying devotion to Pontiac and especially the GTO—commonly referenced as America's first true musclecar—Jim Wangers has a loved for all performance vehicles; particularly our great American cars. Prior to his arrival on Bunkie Knudsen's Pontiac doorstep in the late 50s, Wangers did time at Chevrolet, Plymouth and even Studebaker. Clearly, Wangers' passion is for Pontiacs, but if you stick close you will hear him say from time-to-time, "Those guys across town made a pretty good car too."

We hear it over and over again how Detroit has lost its way. Today's auto industry is nothing like it used to be, and frankly they deserve the pain they are suffering. And now thanks to the government performance has become a dirty word.

We enthusiasts have nothing to suffer! As performance hobbyists we are devoted to our cars. We love nothing more than sharing a story or two about our cars, its styling, our restoration efforts and of course the seat of the pants performance!

For these very reasons, Jim Wangers and his team of enthusiasts have decided to pull out all stops, drop all barriers and welcome in all performance enthusiasts to the 2009 Tour de Wangers Show 'n Go Weekend. This going to be the biggest Tour de Wangers event ever!

This event is open to ALL American Performance Cars; Pontiacs, Chevrolets, Chryslers, Oldsmobile, Fords, Dodges, Buicks, Plymouth — well, you know where I am going here — if it is an American car and it hauls A$$ then we want you to bring it on out on October 17th and 18th as we celebrate American Performance!
